Best Time to Camp at Creek Pasture Group Site

The high desert climate here tells its own dramatic story throughout the year. Summer brings the excitement of afternoon thunderstorms that roll across the vast landscape, occasionally unleashing flash floods that transform dry washes into rushing waterways and bringing cooling winds that whisper through the canyons. Winter transforms the red rocks into a crystalline wonderland, with freezing temperatures that paint frost on sandstone walls. Most days remain brilliantly clear and dry, with the occasional gift of rain or snow adding variety to the desert's typically arid embrace.

Summer(Jun-Aug)
3.5 / 5

Summer offers vivid scenery and activities but afternoon thunderstorms and flash‑flood risk noted.

Fall(Sep-Nov)
4.0 / 5

Milder fall weather and excellent hiking/climbing conditions make fall a very good season here.

Best
Spring(Mar-May)
4.0 / 5

Spring likely favorable for hiking and climbing with milder temperatures; site is open year‑round.

Winter(Dec-Feb)
3.0 / 5

Open year‑round but winter activity options limited; colder nights and fewer visitors expected.
