Best season: spring. Spring offers the best balance of mild temperatures (daytime highs typically 55–75°F, nights 30–45°F) and stable climbing/hiking conditions, so crack climbing, hiking the nearby sandstone features, and photography are at their peak. Wild cottonwoods leaf out and the mesas glow in warm light, while crowds are moderate — busier than winter but far less congested than peak summer weekends. Expect some late-season cool snaps and occasional spring storms; bring layers and plenty of water. Peak months: May, April, October, September
Described as the 'sweet spot' with 55–75°F days, leaf-out, stable climbing conditions.
