Best season: spring. Spring offers the best balance of comfortable weather and active waterways — expect daytime highs around 65–80°F and cooler nights in the 50s, ideal for boating, fishing, and wildlife viewing. Wildflowers and budding oaks on the hillsides make for scenic hikes and photography, while water levels and temperatures are favorable for launching boats and catching bass. Crowds are generally lighter than midsummer (though holiday weekends draw boaters), and afternoon thunderstorms are possible, so plan Peak months: May, April, September, June Avoid: October, November, December, January
Spring noted as most reliable: 65–80°F, wildflowers, good water levels and bass fishing.
