Summer offers the warm, stable weather and low river levels that make boat access, swimming, and fishing easy—expect daytime highs in the mid-70s to low-90s °F and cooler nights in the 50s–60s. Water-based activities are at their peak (kayaking, canoeing, floating between sites), and the riparian forests are lively with wildlife and long, pleasant evenings around the fire rings.
