199 E COWLEY RUN ROAD, EMPORIUM, Pennsylvania, 15834, United States
Families with kids get the most out of this place: lifeguarded pool, creek-side sites 7 and 8 with shade and stream noise, interpretive programs, and trout fishing in Cowley Run. No cell signal is a genuine plus here, not an oversight.
Route 155 road noise reaches several sites, trail markings are rough, and the no-alcohol policy is a firm rule. Remote workers or anyone needing connectivity will find zero options; there's no signal and no workaround.
Compare with similar sites, watch availability, and build a packing list — Camp Sage handles all of it.
Summer brings highs in the mid-70s to mid-80s, nights in the 50s and 60s. The pool operates during these months, and trails see moderate weekend traffic but stay quiet on weekdays. Autumn delivers foliage color across the hardwood slopes. Winter opens the area to cross-country skiing and snowmobiling. Spring and fall bring moderate rainfall that keeps the creek running and the forest canopy thick.
Pool open, warm temps, busiest season with family activities and full weekends.
