Best season: summer. Summer offers the most reliable weather for riverside camping—expect warm, sun-dappled afternoons around 60–75°F and cool nights in the mid-40s to mid-50s—with remarkably few biting insects and lower river levels for easy bank access. This is prime time for relaxed angling on the clear Nestucca, wildlife viewing along the riparian corridor, and comfortable campfires (when allowed); weekend traffic increases, but sites remain peaceful on weekdays. Check for seasonal fire restrictions and book in‑ Peak months: July, August, June, September Avoid: December, January, February
Summer brings reliable weather (60–75°F), low insects, and best river access; peak season May–Sept.
