No potable water on site is a real logistical problem for anyone not set up to haul it. Add the dust kicked up by constant OHV traffic and this is a tough sell for non-riders looking for a quiet forest stay.

Spring delivers the best conditions: daytime highs of 50-65°F, cool nights around 30-40°F, and diminishing snowpack that reopens more OHV routes and lower-elevation trails. Wildflowers bloom along the trails, and the creek runs full. Late summer brings fire restrictions and heavier crowds. Expect moderate weekend traffic during peak spring riding season.
Spring described as best: diminishing snowpack, reopened OHV routes and wildflowers.
Potable water is not available at this site.
