Scissortail Campground is located 1.5 miles east of Interstate Highway 35 on 15th Street in Edmond, Oklahoma. The campground encompasses 141 acres and was commissioned in 1987. The facility does not have designated trails.

Best season: summer. Summer is the best time to visit Scissortail for full access to Arcadia Lake's water recreation — expect daytime highs commonly in the mid-80s to mid-90s°F and warm evenings in the 60s–70s, ideal for swimming, boating, and fishing. Lake-based activities are at their peak, boat launches and swim areas are open, and wildlife viewing (waterfowl, shorebirds) is excellent. Expect higher weekend crowds and busy boat ramps, so reserve sites and launch times early and plan for afternoon thunderstorms on Peak months: June, September, May, October
Summer is best for full Arcadia Lake access; warm days ideal for boating/swimming.
