Anyone counting on full hookups or actual equestrian facilities should call ahead, most sites are electric-only and at least one reviewer flatly said it's not set up as a horse camp. After-dark safety concerns are also worth knowing before you commit.
Context for the broader area surrounding East Fork State Park Horse Campground, sourced from the federal Recreation.gov rec-area record.
At the Corps Senecaville Lake, extensive recreation facilities are operated by the Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District. Visit their website at: www.mwcdlakes,com. Golden Age and Golden Access and other Federal recreation passports are not honored by MWCD. One of the attractions is a Federal fish hatchery. Salt Fork Lodge and State Park are near the lake.
Senecaville Lake is approximately 6 miles east of I-77. At I-77, take Exit 37 which is the Senecaville, Ohio/Senecaville Lake State Route 313 Exit. Take State Route 313 east to State Route 574. Turn right/south on State Route 574 until you cross Senecaville Lake Dam.

Summer delivers the best conditions: mid-70s to upper-80s °F (24–31 °C), full lake access for boating and fishing, and dry trails for riding. Humidity climbs in the evenings, but long daylight hours extend trail time. The campground stays open year-round. Fall brings cooler temperatures and fewer crowds, but yellow jackets swarm campsites. Weekends fill quickly in summer, so book early or arrive midweek.
Peak season with warm days. Most facilities open. Reserve ahead.
