Best season: summer. Summer offers the most reliable access and the warmest, longest days for exploring this high-forest setting — expect daytime highs roughly 60–80°F and cool nights around 35–50°F. Trails, meadows, and wildflower displays are at their peak from mid-June through August, and primitive campsite access is most likely when snow and mud have melted. Crowds remain relatively low because the site is remote, but plan for afternoon thunderstorms, insects in low-lying wet areas, and strict bear-safe food/gar Peak months: July, August, June, September Avoid: December, January, February
Practical season mid-June–Aug with 60–80°F days and wildflower displays.
