Trails to alpine lakes, wildflower meadows, and high country vistas are fully accessible, and fishing on East Rosebud Lake and nearby streams is at its peak. Campground facilities are maintained Memorial Day through Labor Day, making summer the best time for family camping, multi-day hikes, and evening stargazing; weekends in July–August are the busiest.
