Summer is the clear highlight — long days, reliably cool mornings and mild afternoons make Georgetown Lake and the surrounding trails ideal for boating, fishing, hiking and wildlife viewing. Expect crisp mornings around 35–40°F warming into the low 60s°F by afternoon with up to ~15 hours of daylight, so you can fit in paddling at dawn and a sunset hike. Campground use is highest in July–August, so reserving one of the 34 reservable sites (reservations begin June 25) is recommended for guaranteed Peak months: July, August, June, September Avoid: October, November, December, January
