Go if

Families or couples who want a cabin-style buffer from the elements without hauling gear far from the Twin Cities. Fall is the sweet spot: foliage is strong, bugs drop off, and the Riverside Trail delivers river views without the July crowds.

Skip if

Pets are a hard no. No showers, no dump station, and no potable water on-site rules this out for anyone expecting full-service RV hookups beyond electric. Bring every drop of water you'll need.
