Go if

Hikers and paddlers who want wooded, well-spaced campsites will do well here, especially in fall. B-loop sites have real privacy among mature trees, the 35-mile trail network reaches river overlooks like Nevers Dam, and electric 50-amp sites exist if you want them.

Skip if

The guest house and cabins come without linens, towels, or reliable hot water, and multiple reviewers flagged cleanliness issues. Bring your own supplies or the experience will disappoint. No pets allowed, no camp store, and no cell signal to sort it out on the fly.
