Go if

Cabin campers who want direct beach and boat landing access without hauling gear far, fall weekends thin out compared to summer, and the upper campground sites buy you noticeably more quiet.

Skip if

Sites are close together with limited privacy, and summer weekends get loud and cramped. No pets allowed, no cell service, and the bathrooms are vault toilets only, so comfort-focused campers should set expectations accordingly.
