Tent campers who want a wooded, spacious site without paying for hookups they don't need. The Wilderness Trail Loop circles the lake from camp, the beach is walkable, and bass, bluegill, and walleye are in the water. Book on MIDNRReservations.com early; summer weekends fill fast.
Families who need dead-level ground for a big tent or trailer: RVs aren't permitted, some sites have uneven terrain, and depending on which site you draw, the showers and restrooms can be a real hike. Raccoons will absolutely raid unsecured food after dark.
