Horse campers and riding groups heading the Shore-to-Shore Trail system will find exactly what they need: wide pull-through space, hand-pump water, fire rings, and a quiet clearing that rarely fills up. Summer weekends work best.
No showers, no hookups, and no reservations are the baseline here. Hikers without horses get trail access but share the site with manure and tie-out lines. Winter is a non-starter unless you have a high-clearance vehicle and serious self-sufficiency.
