Summer is the best time to visit because warm weather (daytime highs typically 70–85°F) and long daylight hours make paddling, swimming off the water-edge sites, and fishing Tippy Dam Pond most enjoyable. Water access is at its peak, trails are dry and easy to navigate, and wildlife viewing is excellent in mornings and evenings.
