Best season: summer. Summer offers the warmest, most reliable weather for making the most of Graves Creek's river recreation — expect daytime highs around 70–85°F and cool nights in the 40s–50s. This is when the Blackfoot is best for drift boats, rafts, and leisurely float trips and when trout fishing is consistently productive. Crowds are moderate (the campground has only five sites), so expect a quieter experience than larger state parks but plan for first-come camping and potential wildfire restrictions late in a Peak months: July, August, September Avoid: December, January, February

Graves Creek Campground is managed by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and is located along the Blackfoot River. It features 5 developed campsites that operate on a first-come, first-serve basis. Notably, there is no reservation system and no fees associated with using the site. Key amenities include vault toilets, picnic tables, fire rings, a horseshoe pit, and an undeveloped area for non-motorized boating put-in/take-out. Visitors are urged to adhere to 'Leave No Trace' principles, with pack-in, pack-out policies.
