Weekend peace-seekers will struggle here. Quiet hours aren't enforced, field sites bake in full sun with zero privacy, and the swimming pools have been permanently closed, so the operator-advertised pool amenity no longer exists.
Compare with similar sites, watch availability, and build a packing list — Camp Sage handles all of it.
Summer offers the fullest range of activities: warm river swimming, two open pools, boating and paddling on the Shetucket, and peak fishing. Daytime highs reach 78–86°F with muggy, humid evenings in July and August. Cooler nights in June and September drop into the mid-50s to mid-60s. This is the busiest time. Holiday weekends fill sites quickly, and the boat launch and pools see heavy use. Reserve early if you want a waterfront or hookup site. Winter brings gentle snowfalls and quiet, though fewer facilities operate.
Full summer programming: pools, tubing, paddling and peak fishing; busy and noisier weekends.
