Big Meadow Campground offers essential amenities including 65 individual camping units, a group site with a capacity of up to 50 guests and 20 vehicles, vault toilets, potable water, and grills. The presence of picnic tables, parking areas, and water spigots at the sites ensures convenience. Pets are allowed, which is a notable feature for pet owners. Fire pits are available, and the group camp's proximity to Highway 4 makes it easily accessible. Per the authoritative source, there is no camp host on-site, but Forest Service employees visit daily. However, some user reviews highlight issues such as the lack of toilet paper replenishment and noise from Highway 4 ("Remember it's close (like right next to) Hwy4," "ran out of TP in the portos"). Other reviews praise the cleanliness and upkeep when a camp host is available ("The campground, Gary, was awesome. He keeps the campground very clean and takes pride in the campground.").
