Anglers and hikers who self-supply water and pack out trash. The Little Walker River is stocked with trout, the Emma Lake trail starts nearby, and summer nights in the 30s under aspens feel genuinely remote without a crowd.

No potable water is a hard stop for anyone who can't carry all they need. Add no cell signal, bear-canister requirements, and vault toilets only, and car campers expecting basic conveniences will be miserable here.

Best season: summer. Summer offers the most reliable access and the warmest, snow-free conditions at 7,800 ft, with daytime highs typically in the mid-60s to mid-70s°F and nights dropping to the 30s–40s°F. Trails into the Hoover Wilderness and the alpine lakes are at their peak—ideal for multi-day hikes and creek or lake trout fishing—and wildflower displays and insect life are highest in early summer. Crowds are moderate (day-hikers and anglers) but the small, shady sites among aspens and pines keep the campground感 Peak months: July, August, September, June Avoid: November, December, January, February
Aspen presence implies good fall color and scenic appeal though cooler and shorter season.
Small, rustic campground with basic day-use facilities. Campsites include picnic tables and campfire rings; vault toilets are available. There is no potable water or garbage service.
