No cell service, no showers, no dump station, and roaming cows at night are real. Full-hookup RV travelers or anyone who needs connectivity will find the 10-mile haul to Enterprise a lot less charming after a few days.

Fall brings the best conditions. Daytime highs typically reach the 60s and 70s with nights dropping into the 30s and 40s, ideal for technical climbing without summer heat. September shows peak color in the aspens and Gambel oaks against the tuff formations. Trout fishing improves as reservoir water cools. Visitor numbers drop after holiday weekends. Spring also works well, though summer heat can be intense despite the 5,700-foot elevation.
Fall recommended: ideal temps for climbing and Sept peak color; reviewers prefer fall visits.
