It is an amazing location to have a mid-day picnic or a short overnight stay. This is also one of the best locations to view fall colors in the Warners. </p>

Fall brings the best conditions. Daytime temperatures run 45–65°F with nights dropping into the 20s and 30s. The aspens turn gold, crowds thin after Labor Day, and elk and deer move through as they head to lower elevations. Trails and streamside views are at their peak. Winter can be quiet and snowy. The campground operates May through October when weather allows.
