Salmon Lake Cabin Sitka offers a Pan Abode-style wooden cabin built in 1998. The cabin accommodates six people with two double and two single plywood bunks. It includes a wood stove, table with benches, cooking counter, cupboard, broom, axe/splitting maul, and outhouse toilet. The cabin does not include mattresses or cooking utensils, requiring visitors to bring their own supplies. A mooring buoy is provided for boat anchorage, but its use is shared. Additionally, a square-bowed skiff with oars is available, though a long-shaft outboard motor (2-10 hp) is recommended but not supplied. Water must be treated before use, and visitors are advised to bring their own potable water. Amenities are described as basic but functional, with special emphasis on self-sufficiency given the remote location.
