Driving directionsThe cabin is approximately 15 miles from Ketchikan within the Naha Recreation Area. It is on the southwest shore of Jordan Lake along the Naha River National Recreation Trail. Access is either by boating to Naha Bay and hiking 4 miles, or by floatplane to the trail at Heckman Lake and hiking 2 miles to the cabin. Jordan Lake is too small for most floatplanes, but some pilots will land there. In fall, winter and early spring, the cabin may be inaccessible due to frozen lake surface (floatplanes cannot land). Please contact the Ketchikan Misty Fjords Ranger District for information prior to making reservations during these periods.
Access is via boating into Naha Bay and hiking 4 miles or arriving by floatplane at Heckman Lake and hiking 2 miles. Roads are not involved; accessibility is seasonal due to potential frozen lake surfaces during fall, winter, and spring.
