Best season: summer. Summer offers the most reliable weather windows, long daylight, and peak access for fishing and boating—expect daytime highs typically in the 50s to mid-60s °F (10–18 °C) with extended daylight (up to ~18 hours near the solstice). Salmon and trout fishing, island-hopping by skiff or kayak, and excellent seabird and marine-mammal viewing are at their best from June through August. While visitor numbers rise during peak season, Point Amargura remains remote and uncrowded compared with roaded parks Peak months: July, August, June, September Avoid: January, February, March, April
Summer provides most predictable weather, long daylight and peak salmon fishing.

Point Amargura Cabin provides a basic but functional set of amenities. Guests must bring their own supplies, such as food, water, and cooking equipment, as the cabin lacks running water, electricity, and a fully equipped kitchen. Essential amenities include a table, benches, a wood stove for heat, and an outside toilet. A fire extinguisher, axe, and broom are also provided, but guests are advised that firewood availability is not guaranteed, and they should use their own cooking stoves. There is no fresh water source nearby, so visitors must bring sufficient water for drinking, cooking, and cleaning.
