Upper Russian Lake Cabin is a rustic backcountry cabin located in a remote area within the Chugach National Forest. The cabin provides basic amenities and is equipped with bunk space for six, with a maximum occupancy of eight. It includes counter space, a table, benches, and a wood stove for heat. An outhouse is also available. Visitors need to bring their own water as there is no fresh water source at the cabin, and treatment or boiling of water from streams and lakes is necessary. Additionally, all garbage and food must be packed out. Firewood can be cut in the area, and the cabin is supplied with a splitting maul and hand saw.
