Driving directionsFrom milepost 5 on Seward Highway, turn onto Scott Way and follow signs to the Lost Lake Trailhead. In the summer, hike 4.5 miles to the cabin. In the winter, ski or snowmobile 2.5 miles to the cabin. Alternatively, from milepost 17 on the Seward Highway at Primrose Campground and Trailhead, hike 12.6 miles to the cabin along a steep and rugged trail.
Access to the cabin requires hiking, skiing, or snowmobiling. The summer trail is 4.5 miles long and the winter route is 2.5 miles long. Alternatively, there is a 12.6-mile rugged trail available for access via Primrose Campground. Winter conditions require travelers to evaluate avalanche and over-ice travel conditions. The trail is closed to horse/pack stock from April 1 to June 30 and to motor vehicles between April 30 and November 30.
