Best Time to Camp at Peninsula State Park

The park's personality changes beautifully with the seasons—summer and fall draw crowds seeking warm beach days and spectacular autumn colors, while winter transforms the peninsula into a peaceful, snowy retreat. Thanks to Green Bay's influence, the weather keeps things interesting: pack layers for cool breezes off the water, and bring rain gear just in case. During warmer months, the mosquitoes do make an appearance, so bug spray is your friend.
