Big Foot Beach State Park sits on Geneva Lake's south shore, a quick drive from downtown Lake Geneva. The campground has only 4 sites total, most with electric hookups, flush toilets, and hot showers. Fees run $38–$40.75 per night. Summer weekends bring noise and crowds; fall is calmer and prettier.
Mixed tent and RV campground in a developed state-park setting near Lake Geneva; sites are mostly drive-up with electric available at many sites.
Weather and SeasonsOctober delivers the best conditions. Hardwoods turn amber and crimson, daytime temps hover in the mid-40s to mid-60s°F, and crowds thin out after the summer rush. Shoreline hikes and fishing calm down; campsites become easier to book. Summer is busy and hot. Holiday weekends bring music, late-night parties, and voices that carry across the close-set sites. Mosquitoes are hit-or-miss, worse after rain and in low-lying spots.
Natural Features and SceneryMature oaks and maples shade the campground at 843 feet elevation, canopying open grassy areas that feel more like a landscaped park than backcountry. The sites sit on gently rolling lawns with pockets of light woods. The beach is mixed: sandy in spots, grassy in others, rocky along the waterline. It's smaller than many expect and lies across a busy road from the campground. This is southern Wisconsin lake country, accessible and tidy, not remote or wild.

Scenic ViewsLake Geneva views are available from the day-use/beach area (sunsets noted as a highlight), but the campground itself is mostly wooded/park lawn and separated from the beach by a road.
