Summer offers the most reliable warm, dry weather and full access to Forest Service Road 5130, making creekside sites and water-based relaxation or fishing easy to enjoy. Expect daytime highs roughly in the mid-70s to low-90s°F and cool nights in the 40s–50s, with low chance of snow or mud. This is peak recreational season for swimming, wading, and evening campfires (watch for fire restrictions), though sites fill early mornings since everything is first-come, first-served.
