This location is available on a first-come, first-served basis only. Visitors are required to physically arrive at the campground to purchase and claim a site. Once on-site, you may be able to pay for your campsite(s) by scanning a QR code using the Recreation.gov mobile app, and the Scan and Pay feature.

Summer offers the most reliable access and the warmest weather for first-come, first-served camping along Eightmile Creek — expect daytime highs around 70–85°F and cool nights in the 40s–50s. Creeks are lower but scenic, trails and roads are typically clear, and you can make the most of simple car-camping, campfires (when allowed), and long daylight hours; expect moderate crowds so arrive early to claim a site. Be mindful of elevated fire danger July–September and limited cell service as you get Peak months: July, August, September, October Avoid: December, January, February
