Twin Harbors State Park sits on Washington's Pacific coast, a short walk from a wide sandy beach. The 168-site campground offers tent and RV sites (including full hookups), plus cabins and yurts. It's near Westport, a fishing town with charter boats and services. Sites are tightly spaced in the RV loops, and highway noise reaches some areas.
Developed coastal campground with a mix of RV/full‑hookup loops, wooded tent loops, cabins and yurts, and at least one group site.
Weather and SeasonsSummer delivers the calmest windows and longest days. Expect highs in the low to mid 60s °F, nights in the 40s and 50s, and frequent coastal breezes. It's the most reliable stretch for beach activities, fishing (surf and pier), boating charters, and whale watching. Fall and winter bring Pacific storms and heavy fog. The coast stays cool year-round. Warm layers and windbreakers are necessary even in July.
Natural Features and SceneryThe campground occupies low coastal terrain at 39 feet elevation. Shore pines and coastal forest transition to rolling dunes and open beach. The Traveling Dunes Nature Trail winds through dune grasses and woodland, ending at the ocean. The beach itself stretches wide and flat, a good surface for beachcombing, surf fishing, and scanning for migrating gray whales offshore. Seabirds and seals appear regularly. Wind shapes everything here; even the pines lean with the prevailing onshore flow.
