Overview

<p><b>2024 Update:&nbsp;</b>Effective January 1<sup>st</sup>, 2024, the popular Coho and Satsop Center Campgrounds will be managed differently. A new concessionaire, D5 Recreation, will operate and maintain the Coho Campground and the Satsop Center Campground will be closed temporarily due to deferred maintenance.&nbsp;<a href="https://www.fs.usda.gov/detail/olympic/news-events/?cid=FSEPRD1156317">Learn more</a></p><p>Satsop Center Campground is located just southeast of Wynoochee Lake.&nbsp;Evergreen conifers and hardwoods provide a beautiful wooded setting at this&nbsp;historic Forest Service work center.&nbsp;This campground&nbsp;is an ideal location for group gatherings and camping.</p><p>Nearby Wynoochee Lake provides&nbsp;opportunities for hiking along <a href="http://bit.ly/2a9SYWH">Wynoochee Lake Shore Trail #878</a>, boating on the lake, and day use opportunities at Wynoochee Dam and <a href="https://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/olympic/recreation/camping-cabins/recarea/?recid=47807&amp;actid=29">Coho Campground</a>&nbsp;at&nbsp;the lakeshore.&nbsp;There are no commercial services available at Wynoochee Lake. The water is very cold so be prepared.&nbsp;Other nearby hiking opportunities include <a href="http://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/olympic/recarea/?recid=47943">Spoon Creek Falls</a>, <a href="http://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/olympic/recarea/?recid=47963">Maidenhair Falls</a>&nbsp;and <a href="http://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/olympic/recarea/?recid=47805">Church Creek Trail #871</a>.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Available campsites &amp; amenities</strong>: 7&nbsp;RV sites (6 w/ full hookups), 17&nbsp;tent sites (including 5&nbsp;that can be a group sites), 5 group sites. Potable water, showers and toilets,&nbsp;are available. Ice and firewood available for purchase.&nbsp;</p>
