Overview
<p><b>2024 Update: </b>Effective January 1<sup>st</sup>, 2024, the popular Coho and Satsop Center Campgrounds will be managed differently. A new concessionaire, D5 Recreation, will operate and maintain the Coho Campground and the Satsop Center Campground will be closed temporarily due to deferred maintenance. <a href="https://www.fs.usda.gov/detail/olympic/news-events/?cid=FSEPRD1156317">Learn more</a></p><p>Satsop Center Campground is located just southeast of Wynoochee Lake. Evergreen conifers and hardwoods provide a beautiful wooded setting at this historic Forest Service work center. This campground is an ideal location for group gatherings and camping.</p><p>Nearby Wynoochee Lake provides opportunities for hiking along <a href="http://bit.ly/2a9SYWH">Wynoochee Lake Shore Trail #878</a>, boating on the lake, and day use opportunities at Wynoochee Dam and <a href="https://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/olympic/recreation/camping-cabins/recarea/?recid=47807&actid=29">Coho Campground</a> at the lakeshore. There are no commercial services available at Wynoochee Lake. The water is very cold so be prepared. Other nearby hiking opportunities include <a href="http://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/olympic/recarea/?recid=47943">Spoon Creek Falls</a>, <a href="http://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/olympic/recarea/?recid=47963">Maidenhair Falls</a> and <a href="http://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/olympic/recarea/?recid=47805">Church Creek Trail #871</a>. </p><p><strong>Available campsites & amenities</strong>: 7 RV sites (6 w/ full hookups), 17 tent sites (including 5 that can be a group sites), 5 group sites. Potable water, showers and toilets, are available. Ice and firewood available for purchase. </p>
