Best season: summer. Summer provides the most reliable weather and longest daylight for accessing trailheads and exploring the old-growth forest — expect daytime highs roughly 55–70°F and nights in the mid-40s. Trails from Graves Creek and along the Quinault River are at their most accessible, making hiking, day backpacking, biking, and (cold) river swimming most enjoyable; waterfall viewing is still excellent after spring melt. Crowds are highest in July–August weekends, but the campground’s spacious, private sites Peak months: July, August, June, September Avoid: November, December, January, February
Best season: summer—most reliable weather and daylight; mosquitoes noted as downside.
