Best season: fall. Fall offers the best combination of comfortable weather, dramatic scenery, and lower crowds — daytime highs are typically 50–70°F with cool nights in the 30s, making hikes and photography much more pleasant than summer. The Vermilion and White Cliffs take on especially vivid tones in the softer autumn light, and nearby destinations like Coral Pink Sand Dunes and Bryce-area viewpoints are especially photogenic. Trail access is generally reliable, crowds thin after Labor Day, and wildlife viewing/ Peak months: October, September, May, April
Fall described as the 'sweet spot' with mild days, cool nights and great light for cliffs.
