Best season: spring. Spring offers the best balance of mild temperatures (daytime highs typically 70β85Β°F, nights 50β60Β°F), full lake levels after winter rains, and peak wildflower and migratory bird activityβmaking hiking, wildlife viewing, and shoreline fishing especially rewarding. Water temperatures are warming enough for comfortable swimming and boating, while trails and overlooks are lush and green without summer heat. Expect moderate crowds on weekends (especially April and May), but plenty of quiet weekday e Peak months: April, May, March, October
Most comfortable weather, high lake levels, wildflowers peak AprβMay; reviewers favor spring.
