Natural Features and SceneryThe campground occupies a stretch of shoreline where oak-hickory forest meets the water at 781 feet elevation. Raystown Lake fills the valley below parallel mountain ridges, typical of Pennsylvania's ridge and valley province. Some sites sit in open grass near the water.
