Best season: fall. Fall offers the most reliably pleasant weather for coastal hiking and wildlife viewing — expect cool, clear days with highs typically in the 50s–60s°F (10–18°C) and lighter winds compared with winter storms. Beach walks, tidepool exploration, and bird- and marine-mammal watching are at their best as daytime crowds thin after summer, and the campground’s four small sites mean a quiet, intimate experience. Plan for sunsets and lower visitor numbers, but watch for the arrival of fall storms later ( Peak months: September, October, May, June Avoid: December, January, February
