No potable water on-site means you're hauling everything in, and pack-out trash rules apply. Amenities top out at vault toilets. If that combination puts you off, Prospect RV Park on Hwy 62 has hookups and a dump station just 4 miles away.

<p>River Bridge is very small campground with limited facilities, but generous site spacing and excellent river access within walking distance. Massive Douglas-firs provide ample shade for the campsites, which is pleasant in the heat of the summer, and privacy between most sites is provided by other vegetation. The river is wide, with several sandy areas that offer a place to sit and relax by the river. Access to an extensive OHV trail system is nearby. The entrance to Crater Lake National Park is approximately 6 miles away, making this a great place to camp if you're interested in doing a day trip to the park. Additional day trips include the Rogue-Umpqua Scenic Byway with its waterfalls, and the Rogue Gorge.</p><h2>Facilities</h2><ul><li>11 campsites with picnic tables, and fire pits</li><li>No drinking water</li><li>2 vault toilets</li><li>No garbage disposal - Please pack it out</li></ul>
The elevation is 2,800 ft. An entrance to Crater Lake National Park is about 6 miles northeast of campground. Rogue River National Forest 275 The campground is located within walking distance of the Rogue River but none of the campsites have a view of the river. Massive Douglas fir trees provide lots of shade to the campsites. The river is wide at the campground and several sandy "beaches" offer a place to sit and enjoy the river. A middlestory of deciduous trees offer good privacy for most of sites. Possible day trips are: Crater Lake National Park, the Rogue-Umpqua Scenic Byway with its waterfalls, and Rogue Gorge.
Open May 5 through October 15.
The parking aprons are gravel and dirt. Low hanging branches might be a problem at a few parking aprons. An RV waste station with potable water, is available for a fee at Prospect RV Park on State Rt. 62 in Prospect, OR.
In Prospect, OR, at intersection of Mill Creek Dr. and 1st. St., take Mill Creek Dr. north 0.3 miles to a "T" intersection. Turn right onto State Rt. 62 and go 3.9 miles to campground sign. Turn left at sign onto Forest Rt. 6210 (gravel) and go 0.5 miles to a "Y" intersection. Bear left and go 0.3 miles to campground on right.

Summer brings the best conditions: daytime highs between 70-85°F, nights cooling to the 40s-50s. The river is warmest for swimming and tubing from late June through August. Expect moderate to busy crowds on summer weekends and holidays. Early June and September offer quieter visits with similar weather. Check current wildfire restrictions before your trip, as campfire rules change based on conditions.
