Pebble Ford Campground & Day Use, Mt. Hood National Forest, OR
Minimalist campers who haul their own water will find site #4 hard to beat: it has a private drive, creek access, and enough room to spread out. The 44 Trails Association biking and hiking network is right there for active days.
No potable water on-site and 30 minutes from the nearest town means forgetting your supply cache is a real problem. Rigs over 16 feet can't fit, and the single vault toilet draws complaints about maintenance.

Summer delivers the most reliable access, with warm, dry days in the mid-70s to low-80s°F and cool nights. Daylight stretches long, and trails plus forest roads open fully for biking, hiking, and fishing. The creek and pine shade keep afternoons comfortable. Weekends see moderate use, but the small site count keeps things quiet. Spring and fall bring cooler temperatures and variable road conditions. Winter closes the campground under snow.
Summer offers most reliable access, warm dry days and long daylight; campground most popular then.
Potable water is not available at this site.
