Previous visitors have left trash in fire pits and built a rock dam across the river, so anyone expecting a tidy site may be disappointed. No potable water and a muddy access road in wet weather add to the commitment.

The six-site limit keeps crowds manageable even on busy weekends. Fire restrictions sometimes apply during dry spells. Winter access is uncertain, and spring snowmelt can raise river levels significantly.
