Larger rigs will struggle to maneuver the inner sites, and anyone sensitive to road noise should know Highway 101 is close enough to hear from camp. The shower stalls are genuinely cramped.

Summer is the best bet here. Daytime highs reach the mid-60s to low 70s°F, with cool mornings in the 50s–60s°F that often start foggy before clearing. July and August are packed, so book yurts early if you want one. September stays pleasant but thins out. Winter turns wet and stormy, typical for the Oregon coast, but the lake offers some wind protection compared to exposed beach campgrounds.
Summer offers most reliable weather; busiest season with best activity options.
William M. Tugman State Park offers a range of amenities for campers, including firewood sales, daily shower facilities, and potable water. The park has roughly 94 electrical sites with water and 16 yurts (8 of which are pet-friendly). Showers are open daily from 7 AM to 9 PM. User reviews highlight that while the facilities are clean, the shower and restroom stalls are narrow and tight, making them less comfortable for some users. Firewood is available for purchase on-site at $5 per bundle, and a dump station is located within 10 miles of the campground.
