Best season: summer. Summer offers reliably warm, dry weather (typical daytime highs 70–85°F, nights 40–50°F at 4,334 ft) and full access to the campground and water recreation — fishing, swimming and boating on nearby waters are at their peak and trails through the rhyolite and obsidian flows are most accessible. Late May–September is the official open season, with July and August providing the warmest, most predictable conditions for group camping and water activities, though weekends can be busy. Be prepared for凉 Peak months: July, August, June, September Avoid: October, November, December, January
