Best season: summer. Summer offers the best mix of warm weather and lake access — expect daytime highs in the mid 70s to mid 80s°F and nighttime lows in the 50s, ideal for swimming, canoeing, kayaking, and fishing. Water-based activities are at their peak and campsites are lively on summer weekends while remaining peaceful on weekday stays. Plan for increased bugs (mosquitoes/ticks) and busier weekends, but overall summer gives the longest days and most reliable warm-weather recreation. Peak months: July, August, September, June Avoid: January, February
Trees change to autumn foliage and scenery is highlighted for fall.
