About Echo Canyon Campground

Discover Echo Canyon State Park, where a sparkling 65-acre reservoir nestles beneath dramatic canyon walls in Nevada's Great Basin country. Whether you're casting a line for rainbow trout, paddling across calm waters, or hiking into towering rock formations, this desert oasis offers the perfect blend of water-based recreation and backcountry exploration, with camping options ranging from lakeside tent sites to full-hookup RV accommodations.

The park contains a North Campground with 33 reservable campsites and an RV campground with 20 full hook-up sites; a separate group picnic area accommodates up to 70 people.

Historical Significance

The area contains thousand-year-old Fremont pictographs, stone flakes and pottery indicating seasonal use by Fremont peoples. Echo Canyon State Park was established in 1970.
