Go if

Lake-focused campers who want real amenities: private shower stalls, electric/water/sewer hookups, and a swimming beach plus boat rentals on Forest Lake. Weekday visits in summer or an October stay dodge the crowd entirely.

Skip if

Campground 1 sites sit inland, so lake views are filtered at best and some campers end up driving to the waterfront. Heavy tick seasons mean repellent is non-negotiable, and there's no park Wi-Fi if connectivity matters to your trip.
