Weather and SeasonsSummer delivers the best beach weather. Daytime highs reach the mid-70s to low-80s°F with cool nights in the 50s and 60s, ideal for swimming and lakeside fires. July and August draw the most visitors, though spacing between sites preserves a peaceful feel. Spring and fall offer quieter shoulder seasons but expect mosquitoes. Winter access is possible, but seasonal roads aren't plowed. Lake Huron cools evenings year-round, so bring layers even in summer.
Natural Features and SceneryThe campground occupies coastal beach forest at 617 feet elevation, where cedars and mixed hardwoods create shaded pockets between sites. A sandy Lake Huron beach stretches along the shoreline, accessible via a boardwalk that winds through the forest. Thunder Bay's waters are visible from sites near the lakeside loop.
