From Michigan DNR

Official information for Algonac Riverfront Campground from the Michigan Department of Natural Resources.

Due to planned park enhancements – installing full-hookup sites and repaving the roads – the park’s day-use area is closed through early fall and the modern campground is closed through spring 2025. These projects are made possible thanks to a proposed $4.1 million in federal relief funding . The modern campground has 220 sites in the north and south loops. The campground is known for up-close views of international freighters along the St. Clair River. Generally speaking, the campsites are generous in size and level. A majority of sites have gravel pads. There are two ADA accessible campground sites.
